Mountainbiking in Seefeld
From paved paths to mountain tours and dizzy descents from peaks accessible by lift – Seefeld is a real paradise for mountain bikers. Bikes can be hired by the hour or for the day. Guided tours are also on offer, together with the bike and all the equipment you need.

Here is a small selection of mountain bike trails that you can use in the area.

Through the Leutaschertal Valley (view route gradient diagram)
Route Weidach/Alpenbad - Ahrn - Holiday Camping site - Unterleutasch
    Cycling time approx. 1 hour
    Difference in altitude
100 m
    Distance 10 km
    Level of difficulty easy
Surface quality 70% gravel, 30% asphalt

Coming from Alpenbad car park, we cross over the tarmac road, go straight on along the footpath and follow the signs for Achweg along the Leutasch Ache stream, until we see the village of Leutasch / Ahrn on our left. At Ahrn continue over the bridge, turn right and then immediately left, following the signs to ‘Burggraben / GH Mühle’. You need to skirt the Reindlau holiday camping site by travelling along the main road for a few metres. The next cross-country track on the right takes us along the river to ‘Lochlehn / Unterleutasch’. Leaving the fork on our left, we cycle along the forested slope (Path no. 5) to the ‘Gasthof Mühle’ in the Burggraben district of Unterleutasch.
Through the Bauernwald (view route gradient diagram)
Route Neuleutasch - Triendlsäge turning - Path No. 64 - Path No. 19 - Neuleutasch
    Cycling time approx. 1,5 hours
    Difference in altitude 190 m
    Distance 8,5 km
    Level of difficulty intermediate
    80% gravel, 20% asphalt

We begin our tour in Neuleutasch, at the turning with the signpost to Triendlsäge. Here there is a short, crisp descent after which we continue gently downhill to Triendlsäge. We continue to follow signs for Path no. 64, until we reach Path no. 19 at a fork and turn left onto it. We now cycle steadily and gently uphill through the Bauernwald until we reach the main road again at the Gasthof Neuleutasch.
To the Karwendelhaus (view route gradient diagram)
Route Scharnitz - Karwendelhaus - and back
Cycling time approx. 4 hours there and back
    Difference in altitude 850m
Distance 20 km there and back
    Level of difficulty difficult
    Surface quality
90% gravel, 10% asphalt

After the bridge in the village centre of ‘Scharnitz’, we turn off towards the ‘Karwendeltäler’ before we get to the church. After about 300 m we reach the Karwendel car park ‘Karwendel-Parkplatz’, which is the starting point for all tours to the “Karwendel”. We leave the car park, and after 700m turn left towards the ‘Karwendelhaus’, then after 100 m immediately turn right, uphill through the Karwendeltal Valley along a good cycling path. We continue past the ‘Larchetalm’ and, some time later, after several demanding uphill hairpin bends, reach the ‘Karwendelhaus’ (1,771 m).
