Alpenzoo Innsbruck
Innsbrucker Alpenzoo
Book the Veronika Activity Hotel Family Nature Week and experience the fascinating world of animals in the Alps.

The Innsbruck Alpine Zoo is the highest altitude zoo in Europe (727m). More than 2,000 animals of 150 species make this an unforgettable visit to see the animals living in the Alps. A special feature of this “alpine zoo” is a display of past and present ways of life in the Alps. As a “thematic zoo”, the ALPINE ZOO is the only one of its kind in the world that boasts such a complete collection of animals from the Alps in its enclosures and aviaries, aquaria and outdoor vivaria. Please note that you cannot take dogs into the zoo. The reason for this is that many wild animals see dogs as predators and react by running away. This could therefore present a real threat to our animals being harmed.
